Jorma Kaukonen MP3

1982, I was hired by Jorma Kaukonen's agent to accompany him on several
concert dates in the Northeast with the psychedelic light-show I produced
at the time, Quasar Lights. Along with us came my friend Bill Doherty and his high-grade cassette deck. Because Jorma is such a fine fellow, he authorized us to tape the concerts from a soundboard line output. And as if this wasn't enough, he told us to feel free to do whatever we wanted with the tapes as long as we threw some money his way should we make any in the process. We never tried to cash in on this, so never had any money to give him! For the next twelve years the same permission was given us, and we made many a tape of Jorma solo, with Jack Casady, Michael Falzarano, and several incarnations of Hot Tuna, both acoustic and electric. Time and bandwidth permitting, I will post on this page a number of these recordings. There are no formal copyrights on these recordings, so I will declare them ©Jorma Kaukonen. Needless to say, copyrights and publishing rights for the songs themselves apply as needed and are the property of the songwriters. I have no control over what you'll do with these MP3s, but I will ask you to make yours Jorma's caveat, namely that should you make some money with them, send him a cut!!! ;-) |
| En 1982, l'agent de Jorma Kaukonen m'a engagé pour faire un light-show psychédélique
(Quasar Lights) pendant plusieurs concerts lors d'une tournée de Jorma dans
le Nord-Est des Etats-Unis. J'étais, entre autres, accompagné par mon ami Bill Doherty et son magnétophone à cassette. Jorma étant un garçon merveilleux, il nous a permis d'enregistrer les concerts directement à partir de la console. Et comme si ce n'était pas suffisant, il nous a également permis de faire ce que nous voulions avec les enregistrements, à condition de lui envoyer un pourcentage si on faisait de l'argent avec! Comme nous n'avions pas l'intention de commercialiser les enregistrements, il n'y a jamais eu aucun gain, et donc aucun chèque pour Jorma. Pendant les douze ans qui ont suivi, nous avons enregistré de nombreux concerts, avec les mêmes conditions, de Jorma solo, ou avec Jack Casady, Michael Falzarano, et Hot Tuna acoustique ou électrique. Le temps et la bande passante permettant, je posterai d'autres MP3s sur cette page. Il n'y a aucun droits d'auteur officiel sur ces enregistrements, aussi vais-je ici les déclarer ©Jorma Kaukonen. Bien entendu, les droits d'auteurs et d'éditions subsistent pour les auteurs/compositeurs des morceaux en question. Je n'ai aucun contrôle sur ce que vous allez faire avec ces MP3, mais je vous demanderais de respecter les désirs de Jorma, et de lui envoyer un chèque si vous faites de l'argent avec!!! |
